Martyrdom, Beauty or A Renewed Desire? Evolution Theatre’s Little Martyrs
From Nancy Kenny, on Evolution Theatre’s next production: Little Martyrs.
… let me just say that, even though I may seem biased, I have been thoroughly impressed by Chris Bedford’s direction, the high caliber of our design team, as well as the incredibly amazing actors I get to play with almost every day. I really hope everyone can make it out.
I’m always excited to hear of a new project from Evolution Theatre. I’m looking forward to it.
Here is the synopsis:
Inspired by the real-life events that shocked the world in 1993 when two young boys kidnapped, tortured and killed a toddler in Great Britain, Little Martyrs is set in present-day Canada, nine years after the sordid crime they committed when they were children. After recently regaining their freedom, the two young men meet again under new identities through Minnie, a former runaway who rents her late newborn’s room to Jacob. Searching for his partner in crime, Ludo sets up a studio next door.
The cast features: Jody Haucke, Nancy Kenny, Brad Long, Margo MacDonald and Matt Miwa. Check it out! Opening Night: February 9th at 8 p.m. in the Arts Court Studio.
